This apartment was deeply refurbished in the 80's, with the opening of a fabulous living room, the installation of a fireplace and the joining of several other compartments. Some windows were walled over, but with the recent intervention, they are all open again.

The outcome of the present renovation is a modern apartment, with extraordinary light. We built two new suites, and joined two more rooms to achieve very generous areas, without a near match in downtown Porto. The original finishes were replicated whenever possible, namely the herringbone parquet floor, Estremoz marble bathroom floors, traditional white 15-cm tile walls with two black striped tiles replicating the origina border.

The rehabilitation included the total replacement of mechanical systems, with new electrical network, pipeline network, wastewater network, video door entry system and ITED communications network. All enclosures have communication outlets installed.

The apartment is equipped with a central heating system that uses the original water radiators, teamed with a new, state of the art, natural gas boiler and solar panels. For hot-water we installed a 1500- liter thermo-accumulator, more than enough for the shower of the family and guests.

The kitchen is fully equipped with semi-professional gas stove, fridge and dishwasher. The apartment has a spacious laundry room.
