This apartment was very close to its 1940's condition, keeping the original riga and mohogany parquet floors, plaster ceilings, and many of the wood-paneled windows and doors. One of the bathrooms remained from the building's initial layout.


The renovation that was just completed preserves all the original details that were salvageable. The apartment has extraordinary natural light. We doubled the size of the living room by joining an adjacent room and creating a separate dinning room. Overall, the areas per room are very generous, without a close match in downtown Porto. It is apartment with all the amenities of the present, without losing its original art-deco charm.



The master bathroom with pink and black marble finishes was fully restored. When missing, the original finishes were replicated, namely the floors of the two other bathrooms refurbishes with pink Estremoz marble, and walls in traditional 15cm white tile, with two stripes of black tiles to replicate the original border.


The kitchen is brand new and features semi-professional natural-gas stove, refrigerator and dishwasher.


The apartment is equipped with central heating by original recovered water radiators, natural gas boiler with solar support, thermo-accumulator of 1500 liters, more than enough for the shower of the family and guests.


The rehabilitation included the total replacement of mechanical systems, with new electrical network, pipeline network, wastewater network, video door entry system and ITED communications network. All enclosures have communication sockets installed. We also installed new, top of the line vinyl windows, with excellent energy, light and sound ratings.
